Angelina County & Cities Health District's Healthy Beginnings program focuses on a child’s health and development during the most important period of early brain development – from prenatal to three years of age. Healthy Beginnings is a free service for eligible pregnant women and children till age 3 in Angelina County.

Healthy Beginnings is for first time families - through birth, adoption or court placement. Families can enter the program anytime during pregnancy or until the baby is 2 months old. Healthy Beginnings staff provides weekly in-home visits and utilize the First Born Curriculum and act as a Resource Navigator for the family.
