Our work in public health goes beyond the four walls of an office building. The staff at Angelina County & Cities Health District and Texas WIC Angelina County are proud to support our community in a number of ways, some of which are highlighted below. The Deep East Texas Resource Center held a "Batty for Books" event in October to promote reading and quality family time. We had a great time handing out free books and craft items!

The ACCHD team visited the Boys & Girls Club of Lufkin to meet with families about Title V and give out free toothbrushes to kids and their families! Under Title V, children who need medical treatment, do not have insurance, do not qualify for Medicaid or CHIP and meet low-income guidelines can find preventive, primary and dental health services at ACCHD.

ACCHD helped provide COVID-19 vaccines and boosters during Deep East Texas Council of Governments & Economic Development District's Mayfest Event celebrating Older Americans Month!
